Mexican Academy of Sciences

Royal Society of London

One of the first exchange programs AMC established with an international counterpart was with the Royal Society of London in the United Kingdom. The program was founded in 1967. It permitted Mexican scientists, who still maintain their relationships with British research groups, to visit while inviting British researchers to engage in research while visiting Mexico. Since then, the Royal Society has redefined the politics of its exchange programs and in November 2008, the Royal Society notified the AMC of its decision to permanently dissolve their mutual exchange program.

Throughout its duration, the program supported 218 Mexican and 116 British researchers.
